The throttle is not a button. It is a decision.

Hill Climb Motorcycle is about traction. The hills get steeper as you go, and the rear wheel has a grip limit — open the throttle past what the surface can take and the wheel spins, you lose drive, and you slide back down the slope you were halfway up.
That single rule makes the throttle interesting. On a gentle rise you can pin it. On a steep loose section you have to feed power in gradually and keep the bike's weight where the rear wheel can use it, which is what the lean control is for. Lean too far back and you loop; too far forward and you unload the driven wheel.
Fuel is finite and there are cans on the route. Between traction, weight and fuel there are three things to think about on every climb, which is enough to keep a simple side-view game engaging for much longer than it looks like it should.
Get as far up the mountain as you can. Distance scores, fuel cans extend the run, and losing traction on a steep section usually ends it.

On a phone: Throttle and brake on the right, lean pair on the left. The throttle is pressure-duration, so tap it in pulses on loose ground.

A relaxed mountain trail ride with fuel to manage and checkpoints that top you back up.
Carry momentum over rolling dunes while a sandstorm slowly takes your visibility away.
Thread a canyon corridor that narrows as you go, with outcrops jutting into the channel.
Wheelspin. The rear tyre has a grip limit and exceeding it means the wheel turns without driving you forward. Less throttle genuinely gets you up the hill faster.
It shifts weight over the wheels. Weight on the rear wheel means grip; too much means the front lifts and the bike loops.
Mountain Bike Ride is about budgeting fuel over gentle terrain. This one is about traction on steep terrain, so the throttle technique is the opposite.
