About Motorcycle Arcade

Motorcycle Arcade is an independent website that builds and publishes original motorcycle arcade games you can play instantly in a browser.

What Motorcycle Arcade is

Motorcycle Arcade is a small, independent browser gaming site with one subject: motorcycle arcade games. Everything on it — thirty games at launch, six categories and a growing library of gameplay guides — was made for this site. We are not a portal that embeds other people's games behind our own header.

The games run on HTML5 canvas with vanilla JavaScript. There is nothing to install, no account to create and no paywall. Open a game page and you are playing within a second or two.

Why the site exists

Browser motorcycle games are everywhere and most of them are the same game. Search for “bike racing games” and you get page after page of the same three-lane dodger with different artwork. We wanted a site where thirty motorcycle games meant thirty different ideas.

So each game here is built around a distinct mechanic. One is about the timing of a gear change. One is about holding a balance point. One takes your visibility away and gives you tail lights to read instead. Some of them are simple and some of them are genuinely hard, but none of them is another game with a new paint job.

How the games are built

All thirty games share a game engine, an arcade physics library and a vector art library, which is why they feel like they belong to the same site and why the whole library is a few hundred kilobytes rather than a few hundred megabytes. Every sprite is drawn with canvas paths — there are no bitmap sprite sheets to download.

The physics is deliberately arcade. A rigid body with two spring-loaded wheel contacts gives us the three behaviours that matter — the bike settles onto the slope it is riding, throttle at the rear wheel is limited by available grip, and lean rotates the bike in the air. It is not a simulator and it is not trying to be. The goal is that you understand what went wrong within a second of it happening.

No game here depicts a real motorcycle manufacturer, model, brand or logo. The bikes are our own designs and the artwork is original.

Standards we hold ourselves to

We do not publish invented statistics, fabricated reviews, made-up player counts or awards we have not won. If a number appears on this site, it is something we can point at — thirty games, six categories, twenty guides.

We do not claim professional racing credentials. Our team develops browser games and writes about browser games; that is the expertise on offer and we describe it accurately. Our editorial policy and fact checking policy set out how guides are researched, reviewed and corrected.

Advertising, when it appears, sits outside the play area. It never overlaps a game canvas, a control button or a navigation element, and we do not use layouts designed to attract accidental clicks.

Accessibility and mobile

Every game has on-screen touch controls sized for thumbs and a canvas that resizes to the container. Games that are more comfortable in landscape show a small hint rather than forcing an orientation on you, and several are designed for portrait and one thumb.

The site uses semantic HTML, visible focus states, keyboard-reachable controls and ARIA labels where they add something. Games respect the operating system's reduced-motion preference by cutting back particle effects and screen shake. Game state is never communicated by colour alone — where a meter turns red it also says what is wrong in words.

Getting in touch

Corrections, bug reports, ideas for games and general feedback are all welcome. The contact page has a form, and you can email us directly at hello@motorcyclearcade.xyz. We read everything that arrives, and bug reports about a specific game are especially useful when they say which browser and device you were on.
