What this policy covers

This policy explains what happens to information when you visit motorcyclearcade.xyz. It covers the website and the games on it. It was last updated on the date shown at the top of this page.

What we store, and where

There are no user accounts on this site and no server-side profile of you. The things the site remembers are stored by your own browser using localStorage, on your device only:

• your best score for each game you have played
• the list of games you have marked as favourites
• your ten most recently played games
• a local play count per game, used only to order your own lists
• your sound on/off preference and your light/dark theme preference
• your cookie preferences, so we can stop asking

None of that is transmitted to us. We cannot see your scores, we do not know which games you favourite, and clearing your browser data deletes all of it permanently. It also does not follow you between devices, which is the trade-off of not having accounts.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site itself does not set tracking cookies. The browser storage described above is functional: without it, the site would forget your best scores and ask about cookies on every page.

If and when advertising or analytics are enabled on this site, those third parties may set their own cookies or identifiers. That is disclosed in the cookie notice and controlled by the preferences you set there. Our cookie policy lists what is actually in use.

Advertising

This site is intended to be supported by advertising. Ad slots are marked in the page layout, and at the time of writing no advertising network is live on the site.

When advertising is enabled, the ad provider — Google AdSense is the intended provider — may collect information about your visit in order to serve and measure ads, including through cookies or device identifiers. That processing is governed by the provider's own privacy policy, not this one. Where personalised advertising requires consent, we will ask for it through the cookie notice before it is enabled, and you will be able to decline personalised ads and still use the site normally.

This page will be updated with the provider's name and a link to its policy on the day advertising goes live.

Analytics

No analytics service is running on this site at the time of writing. The page templates contain a commented-out placeholder so one can be added later.

If analytics is added, it will be disclosed here and in the cookie notice, and it will respect the analytics preference you set there.

Server logs

Like essentially every website, the hosting provider that serves these pages records standard request information — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — for security and reliability. We do not use those logs to build profiles of visitors, and we do not combine them with anything stored in your browser.

The contact form

If you send us a message, we receive whatever you put in it: your name, your email address, your subject line and your message. We use it to reply to you and to fix whatever you told us about. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Note that until a form handler is connected, the form on the contact page cannot send anything, and it says so clearly rather than pretending to succeed.

Children

The games here are family-friendly, and we expect some of our players to be children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age — there is no sign-up and no profile. If advertising is enabled, we will configure it in line with the requirements that apply to general-audience sites that children may use.

Your choices and rights

You can clear everything this site has stored at any time by clearing site data for motorcyclearcade.xyz in your browser settings. That removes scores, favourites, recently played and preferences immediately and completely.

Depending on where you live you may have additional rights over personal data — access, deletion, objection, portability. Because we hold no user database, in most cases there is nothing for us to access or delete other than an email you may have sent us. If you have sent us a message and want it deleted, ask and we will delete it.
