About Motorcycle Canyon Run

Motorcycle Canyon Run is a corridor game. Rock walls define a channel above and below you, you steer vertically through it, and the channel narrows steadily the further you ride. There is no gravity to fight and no throttle to manage — just the gap and your position in it.

What lifts it above a simple tunnel run is the outcrops. Rocks jut into the channel from either wall, which means the widest part of the corridor is not always the safe part. Sometimes the correct line is close to a wall because the alternative is an outcrop you cannot see past yet.

It is rated Hard because the margins genuinely become small. Late in a run the channel is barely two bike heights, and outcrops still appear in it.

Objective

Ride as deep into the canyon as you can. Distance is the score, the corridor narrows continuously, and outcrops force you off the obvious line.

How to play

1. Press Start Game to enter the canyon mouth.
2. Steer up and down to hold your line in the channel.
3. Watch the walls — the corridor narrows steadily as you go deeper.
4. Rock outcrops jut into the channel, so the middle is not always the safe line.
5. Touching rock ends the run. Distance travelled is your score.

Controls

On a phone: Two tall up and down buttons, or hold the top or bottom half of the stage.

Tips

• Ride the centre of the channel by default and move off it only for outcrops. Drifting toward a wall for no reason is what makes narrow sections unsurvivable.
• Look at the far edge of the screen. In a corridor game the information you need is always the furthest thing you can see.
• Move early and small. Big corrections in a narrow channel put you into the opposite wall.
• Outcrops come in pairs more often than singly. After you dodge one, expect the next from the other wall.
